P.E. Extra-curricular Opportunities

Palatine Community Sports College prides itself on offering its learners a wealth of sporting opportunities outside of the curriculum. Through the Sports Council The Community Team has established a dynamic timetable that changes, termly, based around what the students really want to participate in. As a result the school offers a diversity of traditional and "new age" sports ranging from field hockey to boxercise. The Community Team firmly believes that there is a physical activity out there suited to each and every child at the school whether they prefer individual and non-competitive sports like climbing or informal organised games of Dodgeball to structured skill based activities like vaulting and trampoliing.

For those pupils who do not choose to access the orgainsed lunch time or after school clubs sporting equipment like footballs are available for them to sign out at lunchtime for learners to organise their own informal games based around fun. This has proved really popular with students at lunchtime and assists with a healthy lifestyle and develop social skills.

Some clubs run by Leaders - e.g. year 7 trampoline is led by 2 year 11 leaders further inspire young learners.

Sports already offered since September to January have already included the following with more activities being offered in the last three half terms ;

Football (Girls and Boys), Netball, Table Tennis, Trampolining, Vaulting, Gymnastics, Badminton, Boys Volleyball, Swimming, Boxercise, Fitness Suite, Rugby, Cross Country, Trekking, Climbing, Cheerleading, Tri-Golf, Dance, Extreme Golf, Girls Tag Rugby, Ultimate Dodgeball
