Accommodation and Equipment
Six specialist ICT rooms. Each with Interactive Whiteboard. Over 300 new networked PCs available in the specialist ICT rooms and throughout the school in each Faculty Interactive whiteboards in all Faculty areas.
Key Stage 3
Students follow a specialist ICT course. Teaching groups are set according to ability. Each group has one ICT lesson per week in a specialist room. Each student is guaranteed sole use of a computer for each lesson. Students follow units which are based on the Key Stage 3 National Strategy.
Key Stage 4
Students can choose between these examination courses:
GCSE Single Option which contains a 60% coursework element
GCSE National Level in ICT which contains a 100% coursework element
Extra curricula
All courses are extended by additional projects. This includes Summer School activities, Gifted and Talented workshops and The Times Newspaper Day national competition. All rooms are open every lunchtime and after school for students to use the resources for further study.
Internet Agreement
Students are required to sign an Internet use agreement.
