Unit 1: Designing a booking system
Students design and create a logo for a theatre company. Then they design and create a seating plan, linked to a financial statement which will simulate a booking system. By creating a database of customers they then compose a letter whcih could form the basis of a mailshot. This is sent out to appropriate customers.
Unit 2: Web technology
Students create a web site for the theatre company. This to include a wide range of multimedia features as well s the ability to book onlline.
Students will at key times of the year sit QCA online ICT tests which will contribute to their overall KS3 assessment.
In addition students carry out a range of ICT related tasks for other curriculum areas.
