Key Stage 4

The Humanities Faculty has a unique opportunity to develop pupils’ understanding of the notion of Citizenship. The key principles of Citizenship are deeply embedded in all subject areas and give pupils the chance to develop their understanding of the key skills, process knowledge and understanding.
Humanities offer pupils the opportunity to:
Develop their understanding of local, national and international contexts.
Develop their political, economic, technological, social, religious, moral, cultural and aesthetic perspectives.
Develop their understanding of community.
Develop their concepts, values and attitudes.
Think critically
Evaluate other peoples’ views, beliefs, attitudes and actions.
Construct reasoned arguments.

Listen to and tolerate alternative opinions, beliefs and attitudes.
