Drama
All students study Drama in KS3 for 1 hour per week. A GCSE course is offered to students studying Drama at KS4.
The Drama faculty is very well equipped, having 2 purpose built Drama Studios and seating for over 100 people. The theatre is used for various performances throughout the school year.
KS3 drama skills

Year 10 GCSE Drama
Learn about:

- Also visit a theatre performance
Year 11 GCSE Drama
Do:
- 6 practical drama workshops based on Improvisation. (marked by your teacher and worth 20% of your final grade)
- 3 pieces of written coursework based on these workshops, marked by your teacher worth 10% of your final grade
- 6 practical drama workshops based on Blood Brothers. (marked by your teacher and worth 20% of your final grade)
- 3 pieces of written coursework based on these workshops, marked by your teacher worth 10% of your final grade
- Working in groups of 3-5 make a performance/drama using all the skills you will have leant in Year 10, plus lighting, costume props, set and perform to an Examiner worth 40%
- Plus you have to visit a live theatre performance and write a review
