Broaden your horizons in Paris
In May of 2010, just before half term, a party of 43 students and 5 members of staff went to Paris. The trip was organised as a joint visit between the the Modern Languages Faculty and the Art Department.
Amongst a busy itinerary was a day seeing all the sights in Paris - a boat trip on the Seine, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Arc de Triomphe. The second day was a vist to the Claude Monet's house and gardens at Giverny, and the third day was an enjoyable visit to Disneyland.
Whilst taking part in what was an enjoyable and educational trip, aimed at supporting students in both areas of the curriculum and giving them the opportunity to experience at first hand the culture and language of France, students, supported by staff completed a diary, scrap book and art work.
As a follow on project from the trip, all of the hard work completed on the visit is to be on display at an evening exhibition planned for parents and students on Tuesday 29th June 2010 at 7pm in the school hall. All would be welcome - please join us!
