BLACKPOOL SCHOOLS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2010

We have entered two teams in the National Schools Chess Championship and the “A” team have been drawn against Lancaster Grammar School and the “B” team, after winning their first round against Cowley Language College now have to play Manchester Grammar School.

During the first half term of 2010, every Friday dinner time in HU1, we will play the qualifying rounds of the individual competition, the British Land Chess Challenge and by Easter we will hopefully have students who have qualified to go the northern Megafinal at Hodgson High School on May 1st, with a chance of winning the £1000 prize.
