Annual School Productions
Palatine students from years 7 to 11 rehearse and perform in an annual Musical which includes singing, dancing and acting. Our most recent productions have been Grease (2005), Oklahoma (2006), Little Shop of Horrors (2007), High School Musical (2008) the Sound of Music (2009) Annie (2010) and a year 7, 8 and 9 production of Bugsy Malone (2011) and a year 7,8, 9 and 10 production of Return to the Forbidden Planet (2012)
Palatine also has an annual Christmas show with various singing, dancing and acting acts performing in it plus an annual Easter or Summer show with various singing, dancing and acting acts performing in it. Both these are performed in the hall and to sell out audiences, so get involved and perform on our stage.
Rock Groups
There is a Rock group at Palatine at the moment, which practices after school in our purpose built practice room. We are well equipped with a Pearl Export Drum kit and a selection of Guitars and Amplifiers. Several of the Rock group members receive Instrumental tuition here at Palatine.
Swing Choir
There are over 40 members of our well known Palatine Swing Choir. The Choir performs regularly throughout the year, singing at our Concerts, Open Evenings and Carol Services in school. They also sing in the Blackpool Schools Christmas event at the Ice Drome and take part in the Schools Alive Concerts at the Grand Theatre. At Christmas they visit local venues and entertain the guests they perform to. They practice at least twice a week throughout the school year.
Samba Band
If you like rhythm, you can join our Samba Band which rehearse during the lunch hours. They have performed at various local venues, including Blackpool Zoo and Blackpool Football ground. There is a beginner's group every Thursday lunch and the established members meet every Friday lunch. They do a lot of performances in other schools and in the town centre.

We run an after school session each week for KS3. During this time students can work on their class work, experiment with new media and materials or enter art competitions we may have running.
