Palatine Sports College complies with the requirements of Local Authorities Admission Policy.  Students currently attending Primary Schools within Blackpool will be issued with appropriate brochures and application forms in September.

Open evenings take place towards the end of September and parents then need to complete the documentation and return to the Local Authority by November.  Actual dates will be finalised nearer the time.  Should you require some help in choosing a school and would like some impartial advice on the schools in Blackpool and the surrounding areas you can contact School Choice Advisor at Blackpool council on 01253 477499.

Students moving into the area should contact with the school and if the admission number (175) within the relevant cohort is not exceeded then a formal offer of a place will be made to the student.  If the admission number is exceeded the student will be referred to the Local Authority where they may decide to appeal against the decision, or accept a placement at another school.

Students who are successful in their application will meet with the headteacher or Head of Year before they formally start at the school.  Students will be expected to complete assessment tests (to aid in the correct academic placement) as part of their induction process.  Form tutors will also greet parents and ensure that appropriate supports is in place e.g. student mentor.
