Palatine welcomed Ofsted on 12th - 13th October 2009. There was a recognition that Palatine is making rapid improvement and that this is leading to significant increases in the performances of students attainment. The quality of learning, progress and teaching was also highlighted as areas of strength. It was also pleasing that the good level of support and care that the school offers was recognised.

Overall the school is delighted that despite a more rigorous and challenging Ofsted framework (from September 2009), Palatine has received so many positive and encouraging comments.
